What this covers

This policy covers the Lime Discord bot, the web dashboard at limebot.oofsterstudios.com/dashboard, and the landing site you're on now. Lime is an independent hobby project โ€” it is not made, endorsed, or operated by Discord Inc.

What Lime collects

To run a server economy, Lime stores, per Discord server:

  • Your Discord user ID and server (guild) ID โ€” used as the key for your balance, inventory, and other stats.
  • Economy data: wallet/bank balances, daily/weekly streaks, gambling and crime win/loss counts, reputation, shop inventory, lottery tickets.
  • Social data you create by using commands: marriages, adoptions/family relationships, reputation given to other users, and โ€” only if you set one with /setbirthday โ€” your birth month and day (never a year, so no age is ever stored).
  • Server settings an admin configures: custom currency symbol/name, command prefix, shop items.

Lime does not read, log, or store the content of your messages. The bot needs Discord's "Message Content" permission only to recognize .command-style prefix commands as they're typed โ€” it does not keep a copy of what you send.

The web dashboard

Logging into the dashboard uses Discord's own OAuth2 login โ€” Lime never sees or stores your Discord password. The login session cookie stores only your Discord user ID and, for each server you're in where Lime is also present, whether you're an admin there. That's it โ€” not your username, avatar, or full server list; those are looked up fresh from Discord (or Lime's own cache of servers it's in) each time a page loads.

Reaction gif commands

/hug, /kiss, /pat, /slap, and /kick fetch a gif from otakugifs.xyz and, on servers where the bot operator has configured it, from GIPHY. Running one of these commands sends a request to that third party for a gif โ€” no personal data about you is included in that request beyond what's needed to fetch a random gif (nothing about your account or message is sent to them).

What Lime does not do

  • Lime does not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising.
  • Lime does not track you across other websites or apps.
  • The virtual currency Lime tracks has no real-world monetary value and is never linked to real payment information.

How long data is kept

Your server's economy data is kept for as long as Lime remains in that server (or until you ask for it to be removed โ€” see below). If Lime is removed from a server, its data for that server is not actively purged on removal today, but you can request deletion at any time using the contact below.

Requesting deletion

To have your data removed from a specific server, or from every server Lime is in, open an issue on the GitHub repository with your Discord user ID and which server(s) you mean.

Children's privacy

Lime is not directed at children under 13. Discord's own Terms of Service require users to be at least 13 (or the minimum age in their country), and Lime relies on that same baseline.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the "Last updated" date above will change. Continuing to use Lime after an update means you accept the revised policy.
